a few discoveries while in america

One of our favorite things to do is eat and be merry! Actually, it's my hubby who really cooks well! He learned to be domesticated here in America, and discovered that he is indeed a good cook. When we moved here, we have discovered a lot of things about ourselves, one of which is being able to do things without the help of anybody! Now I'm no longer used to having a helper in the house - I've learned to live without a maid (actually you can hire one, if you are willing to pay $20/hr. or $100/day) ha ha ha, (unless, she's from back home and one could probably make a "local rate" deal with her he he he)...Even my kids, at an early age, they've learned how to tidy and organize their stuff and they are like young adults who are now concerned with their stuff and how to spend their own money wisely.

I've discovered that happiness for me is just a combination of simple, essential ingredients : if you have something to do, someone to love, something to hope for, then everything is ok. If you are rich, and you are doing nothing worthwhile in life, you feel empty. If you have everything, but have no love in your heart, you are lonely. And if there is nothing to look forward to, then life is a dead-end street, hopeless, empty and boring. The choice is in us!

Lots of things and certain people bring out more of the parent in me now and i just thought it would be nice to share it with you...
