Silver Jubilee Year launched

a 2x8ft tarpouline banner signifying the start of our official countdown to the SMA Class '81 Grand Silver Jubilee Celebrations in April 2006 was unveiled and presented during the class mini-reunion held on May 14, 2005 at Nicotina Garden Pavilion...the banner features the theme logo and the individual photos of the class members taken from the annual yearbook...attendees had fun trying to locate their faces from the bunch...
another major source of surprise was the audio-visual presentation which featured the 'batch evolution' covering decades of fun and camaraderie in school, post-grad get togethers, other significant events past to present, and most importantly, a portion which conveyed messages from batchmates based in Melbourne, Australia; West Covina, USA; and Irvine, USA...
from 1pm til 12mn (majority of the group ended up pigging out in a japanese restaurant!), there was a continuous sharing of laughter and memories, even during the afternoon meeting discussing our ongoing preps for the grand reunion...many thanks to the management & staff of Nicotina Garden Pavilion for bearing with us and allowing us to stay as noisy at the public area as we've been in the VIP room...some things truly never change :-)
gazillion thanks goes to Tina of the Ways & Means Committee who ensured that giveaways were provided to all the attendees; special thanks to Beewa, Christine, Linda, Menchu, Roan, Rosanna for the additional prizes...there were so many gifts!
photos of the event will be posted here as soon as we collate the entire stock shots from numerous cameras brought in during the get together...a sneak preview on the group while at Nicotina may already be seen below...

first thing i did monday morning when i came in to work was to eagerly log in to our marian website (parang bata na nagbubukas ng regalo) to find out what happened to saturday's mini reunion (14 May). Laking tuwa at saya ko when I saw the photos (at hinihintay pa ang iba)! I was so impressed with everyone, the hard work that was put in that obviously made the event so very successful. Meron na agad info (+ banner, captions, news ..) sa website .. ano ba yan ang bilis kakatuwa .. impressed talaga ako.

waiting pa for the delivery of more photos from other cameras...i actually asked beewa (the 1st who submitted), why she didn't have the 'class pic with us all holding onto the banner' - sagot ba naman sa akin - "eh kasi ayoko mawala sa cameras ng iba hehehe" - oo nga naman lolz

Win, all the pix in the cd taken at the reunion are outside the folders, those in the folders are from my celphone, please ignore those. So when would those be posted? alam ko masmagaganda tayo dun!

Win, sorry late ko na nakita your e-mail about msgs from us, sayang! (medyo busy nowadays) but the most important thing is maraming umatend and it was successful. Great Job!

Honey ginawa na po namin yun, we asked the The orig Pyp as in Tirso Cruz d 3rd Kung nasaan si Catherine Cruz, sagot sa amin eh wala daw syang cousin na ganun na name? Ngek! So back to the old drawing board!
