Hoyle Wordox (multi-player word game)

would you like to try a wordgame called WORDOX? it's almost like scrabble but the board is smaller...below are the instructions to get there, and if you can't, pls inform me so we can troubleshoot the prob immediately...

1. click to register here and it will lead you to the page where you will first have to agree on the terms of use (just scroll down the box and tick yes)...then click next...

2. you will be taken to a page where you will fill out your valid email address, the handle you want to use as a player, your birthdate, name, surname...

3. you will be sent an activation key or temporary password (pls take note that sometimes the activation key or temporary password lands in the BULK MAIL folder, better check it out if you don't receive them after just a couple of minutes upon registration)...use that password on your first log-in but you may, right after, change it if you want, by going to MY ACCOUNT somewhere on the upper right corner of the page...

3. now you're ready to play ox at hoyle, click here then go to SOCIAL LOBBY 1, where majority of ox players go for free-for-all games...all the other rooms are owned by hoyle leagues and therefore used by ladder &/or tournament communities...

if you can manage to do all of the above and be able to get into the game room, pls let me know and if i'm available, i'll walk you through it and perhaps we can play a few games the soonest...

For those having problems getting into the Hoyle gamerooms, pls try the following troubleshooting tips:

Internet Options. Click on the Security tab, and then click Custom Level.
Change all the ActiveX options that are currently set to Disable to Prompt.
Click Ok and then refresh the web page for Hoyle.

If you still can't get in, go back to Internet Options --> Security tab -->
then look for the following options and adjust them accordingly:

Download signed ActiveX controls - Prompt
Download unsigned ActiveX controls - Prompt
Initialize and script Activex controls not marked as Safe - Prompt
Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins - Enable
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting - Enabled

"You might also try turning off your firewall while you try to enter the room, then turn it back on if you get in. Several people wrote in the Hoyle forums that this method worked for them" - taken from one of the league forums.

It is also recommended that you try getting in the hoyle rooms using Internet Explorer as your browser; it seems AOL users have difficulty when the AOL browser is used.
