Hi Win! This is Margie. Just got out of your batch's site which is a great
one -- congratulations!

It's funny to see familiar faces but I was at a total loss as to who they
were. Felt so sad re Ms De Guzman. Wish I had known. . .

Moving on please send me the no. of Dulce Centeno and is it we also have a
batchmate named Luisa Macol (not so sure?) who I think has a sis in your
batch.

All the best to all of you!

napakaganda ng website nyo...of course, tulungan tayo sa paghanap ng missing Maryans.. I was doing that before our first NA 2001 reunion here in San Clemente, Ca...Would you believe I am still searching for a Princess? when we were in 5th or 6th grade, we have a Princess Tarhata Kiram of Cotobato, lahat naman sila ay Princess Tarhata ang tawag...She could be here in US. She left the country during the martial law days of the Marcos regime. I am still searching for my best friend in elementary, Bernadette Torres Aguirre.. I used a search engine, People Search, pero wala pa akong sagot.

take care and regards to Germaine of batch80.

sincerely,

Hi! It's me and I'm based currently in the U.S. Thanks for the info. I happen to come across Dina Ampaya and had mentioned to her that I've seen your batches' website and sort of browse around the pictures. I sort of surf around for familiar names, checked out the pictures and try to test how far my memory goes, who's who now & how they've been. That's all. You guys have a good concept and wish you all the best. Thanks again.

Best regards,

Dear Ladies,

Thanks for your initiative in having your own website and I believe the rest of the Marians are also starting to connect with one another. How happy I am to see your beautiful pictures. I saw your class picture when you were in the second year where I was your class adviser. Imagine I still rememeber your names and the rest of your unique personalities. Please continue to keep in touch and spread that MARIAN SPIRIT wherever you are. "Bloom where you are planted." Rest assured of my love and prayers. I will be attending the meeting of batch 76 on Aug. 15 at Gloriietta , Makati. Hope to see you there. I really missed you. If you want to contact me just text or call me. I am now assigned in St. Mary's Academy of Kidapawan.

By the way the reason you have no yearbook when you graduated was that after the proclamation of Martial Law in 1972, Press Freedom was curtailed and so publication of the Yearbook resumed sometime in 1980 or 1981 yet. So, you now understand why you had no yearbook. But, it's not too late to have one ... a very unique one. This might include your family and teachers too. Is that impossible? Hmmm... I believe there is nothing impossible with God and with your hi-tech commununication. Ngiti naman kayo dyan. Sinong di makapaniwala na ako'y nagmadre at RVM pa? Well, that's a mystery. Ask yourself too why you have married the man who is the father of your children? Isn't it a mystery too? How I wish to meet my II-Moonstone Class... I remembered Menchu, Jesusa, Brenda, Marily, Daisy, Lynette, Marivic, Agnes, Rosamilma, Ellen and many more... Of course, all my students in Chemistry, Algebra, Math I, Consumer Math and Statistics. I hope that you learned not only Math but more than that... about LIFE. We are loved by God despite our weaknesses. The problems that beset our country is just a manifestation of God's invitation for us to go back to Him and be humble to be sorry for all our sins. Let's pray the Rosary everyday to restore Peace in our country and the whole universe. Good luck and God bless!

Regards to all Batches.

Sincerely in Jesus, Mary and Mother Ignacia,

WELCOME batch 81.
WELCOME batch 86 lalo na sa mga naging students ko.

i'm sure all of sma76pasay would welcome you to the growing network of Marians that keep popping up.

I hope that you don't just defer to us because we are batches way ahead of everybody. It is nice that you and Germaine are also trying to bridge the gap between batches and make it like it should be .....an SMA Pasay alumni association, that would be irregardless of what batch we all come from.

Our batch 76 has just started to warm up to this reconnection business and hopefully more people will pop in. What we have is a growing network too. There are friends working the streets of Makati and Pasay.........literally walking the streets and going from house to house to seek out people from their last known addresses. This was done when Manila connection hosted the 25th year reunion. Unfortunately I was not party to any of the preparations so this time we are trying to do what we can.
I just happened to get into all of this when i signed up for alumni.net and the long story cut short is what we have now. Ours is a new egroup that's starting to kick up. like i said i jumped into a canal trying to cross the embankment but found it much deeper than what it was. but there are friends who help and more friends who care enough to keep the spirit alive.

warm greetings from batch81!

thank you for getting us into the community of maryans...this email trail came as a big surprise but with it comes our group's high hopes that somehow we'd be able to locate more people from sma, most especially those whose relatives belong to our missing in action list...it's also very encouraging to know that a maryan community is being established in the global sense...

we have, todate, identified 8 countries (incl PH) where our batch is spread out - biggest minority group is still in the US, and just as i've read somewhere within the email trail below, LA is also the foremost location of our US chapter...our quest is a continuing process and connections like this are more than welcome - we aim to network with as many batches as we can and help keep our love for the alma mater going...

i've already made a link to batch76 in our site; batch80 has been linked since april...and if there's any additional website up and running from any other batch, please let me know and rest assured they will be posted as our way of supporting the sma clout...it would be much appreciated if a reciprocal arrangement will be granted to us too...but just to briefly give you a backgrounder, our website (continually a work in progress, btw) is designed as an interactive-entertainment-informative tool, so i hope you won't be surprised to also find games being facilitated at the site on a regular basis...please consider this email an invitation to all maryans who wish to participate in the fun and perhaps one of these days, inter-batch activities may be arranged...

our group has taken a break from committee meetings and batch activities/mini-reunions in deference to the 1st two months of school opening...we shall resume our sessions this august...we had an upsurge of activities from feb-may, awa ng Diyos wala pa namang asawa o boypren na nagreklamo but just the same, we had to lie low for a while so the mothers in the group could take care of their kids' initial needs at the start of the schoolyear :-) balik riot kami next month kasi pag mga marya na ang kausap, feeling bata na ulit :-) thus far, reconnecting with people who were a big part of our youth provide us with a unique sense of belonging and we try as much as we can to be the support group for everyone...so thank you again for including us, dagdag therapy na naman ito...

congratulations to everyone who has been part and parcel to this growing maryan community - please don't hesitate to let us know of anything our group may be of help with to you all...our URL is : http://batch81sma.blogspot.com/

best regards and God Bless!

Hi to all!

Thanks for linking us up with the various batches. We have long been wanting to patch up with other batches but i think the list of batch reps we have is not sufficient/updated.

According to our website manager, Dra. Bunny San Juan, she will create a separate folder for the batches so you can post either your pictures or your thoughts or other messages (kind advise, announcements that are not highly confidential, messages from respective countries, questions, etc.) here. :)

This is a Maryan community that we were not expecting to have uncovered if not for the email message of Bini. Kudos to you and rest of your batch! :)

Oh, please do not forget the November 26 homecoming at the school grounds. Really hoping for your kind support on this by way of attendance, etc...

Am also including Winwin Andres from Batch '81 - she is heading their batch and they have a website we can also link to. We have met with their organizing team and they are solid in that batch. Dami na nilang na-locate!

This is really quite an exciting and rewarding experience. Looking forward to collaborating with you all! :) Many thanks!

Hi Bini! Thank you for your response. It's good to know that your efforts are paying off - talagang slow burn lang yata talaga these types of efforts but I think once there is momentum, biglang dami ang dating nyan!

You may have noted already that Teresita "Gilda" Agsunod-de Leon is someone I knew back then. :) Also, I read your other email, I also recall a Connie Cordero, yes, batch ng sister ko. Small world talaga!!!

Hi Girlie! Where and how can we get in touch with you? Hope you can share with us your contact details. :)

Also, Bini, if you have firmed up your plans for your LA reunion, let us know and what the arrangements (is it potluck? ) so I can float this to some batchmates - maybe good to have a Maryan community - iba rin yung may support na ganito, right?

Re: Gilda/Sydney - we will try to locate our batchmates there, though one of them, Merceditas Lope, might be your officemate (am crossing my fingers!) :)

Subject: Hi! from Bini David and friends Sma76Pasay

Germaine at sa lahat sa inyo salamat ng marami sa pagtanggap sa aking sulat. mabuti pa kayo sumulat, ang iba ko ka batch ay tulog pa hanggang ngayon.

This process of reconnection has been long, sometimes disappointing days but I can't seem to stop what I originally hoped to accomplish. With the help of friends who kept sending me contact info I was delegated to write or call the 'Merika ladies as I often call them. We have gathered quite a group of albeit sleeping ladies who would answer with one liners or none at all. It was HARD to keep up with them, a lot of minutes on my cell were used to keep in touch.

I'll say that the Dec 17 LA reunion would be the first semi organized event we've had aside from the silver jubilee that batch 76 hosted in MAnila 2001. We are all hoping it would be a success. As for me, I have jumped into a river thinking it was only a canal and I could just wade thru it but this is stuff that's bigger than what I've imagined.

There are support from Friends from as far as Sydney and MAnila and everywhere in Merika. That is the kind of network that has slowly been building to help us all rekindle the friendship we had been nurturing for a couple of years. I've attached email from contact friends, one from Manila and the other in Sydney. We will take it one day at a time.

I'll get back to you in a while, let me put the baby to sleep and then i'll look up the contact info of LA ladies and or Manila ladies

Girlie, Gilda I have included both of you in the DL, just cutting corners as usual. Here's to establishing a Marian community and not just individual batches........

Hi! Thank you very much for your message. It's heartwarming to know the reach we have been able to do and it's always good to hear from fellow Maryans, from different batches at that!

When will your reunion in LA be? And could you kindly send us the specific address? Am patching you up with Ms. Mildred Felix-Salarda who is not only based in the US but is also in touch with our batchmates. It would really be nice if they can join you and hope it is a start of building a US-based Maryan community! :)

Am also including Dra Banana (Teresa San Juan) and Ms. Rosalie Santos in this message so that in case you can give us the LA contact address, they can upload this in our e-group (Rosalie/Banana - kindly include the invitation in egroup and website but no addresses please in the website, just the invitation lang).

Would you be also able to send us the name and contact number of your classmate who we can coordinate with here in Manila? We are hoping that they can attend the homecoming this Nov 26 at the school grounds. We have a good program in store for everyone and it would be a good venue to touch base with other batches. Hope they can plan to attend it. Am copying Ms. Tess Distor-Caparas as we can plan to meet with a member of your batchmate so we can take them through the program. :)

If you have a batch directory, it would sana be great to include this in our souvenir program. Whatever you have would be good. :)

Hope to hear from you again. It was really good to hear from you. :) Am also indicating my home number in case there are queries you may want to discuss real-time. :)

Hello,

I am from SMA76PAsay. a batchmate sent me your URL and id say kudos to your Dr Banana....

we are planning a June 2006 reunion in Manila too, 30 years after we have walked the halls of ST.Mary's. I have never been back inside the campus and the pictures in your website are hardly what I remembered.

we also have an LA reunion planned for this year, the place was picked because there are a lot of batch 76 living around the LA area.

IF you have any batchmates in the area, tell them they are more than welcome to join us too

Hi again to batch'81 and specially to Win2
Thanks to you again.. our members are growing! We now have 20 members joining our egroup, and your website surely helps. Though we haven't reach a majority of our batchmates, hopefully the others would be informed or hear about it too.
