Mother Ignacia Student Financial Assistance Programme
13 Oct 2007, Pasay City. Batch81, in support of the Mother Ignacia Student Financial Assistance Programme (MISFAP) aiding well-deserved children of fellow alumni, formally presented its batch donation amounting to fifty thousand pesos to SMA School Directress, Sr. Ma. Marisa Rebosura, RVM (third from right of photo). Witnessing the turnover is SMA Alumni President, Ms. Sarita-Zafra (first from right of photo). Batch81's fundraising campaign, collected from its members located in various parts of the world, had been created to assist its two appointed batch beneficiaries for Year 2005-2007, namely, the MISFAP (educational) and Karen Z. Abu (medical), daughter of a member of Batch81 in need of a kidney transplant. Batch81 will try to continue supporting the school's educational programme and help encourage its scholars to pursue the highest standards of learning, the MIDES way. The MISFAP is currently in the process of acquiring tremendous support especially from the School Board, in conjunction with the Alumni & Parents Associations, in its bid to become a full-pledged foundation that aims to increase the number of scholars per schoolyear.
